A decadent tribute to narcissism

Leandro Castelao’s ‘Peacock Mirror’ was showcased last week in Milan as part of Wallpaper Magazine’s ‘Handmade Collection’.

5ft x 6ft tall, the mirror is hand-crafted in India, a decadent tribute to narcissism. It is made of individual pieces of handcrafted mirror and beaten silver and features a Peacock, which in Indian Mythology is the vahana or vehicle of Karthikeya, God of conquering vices.

The mirror is part of Animania, a whimsical show and art collection inspired by the sacred animals of India curated by Design Temple
