Kustaa Saksi: The Soft House - Between Art and Design

Kustaa Saksi is currently displaying one of his tapestries in The Soft House exhibit at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Milan, as part of the Salone del Mobile festival. The Soft House explores the many ways textile design has been applied within the world of art and interiors, utilising modern advancements in production techniques and the exploration of craft and traditional skills within the boutique market.

Coinciding with the Salone del Mobile Milan furniture trade show, the exhibit covers a wide selection of decor, soft furnishings, innovative sculpture and fantastical materials - including the Kustaa Saksi tapestry titled Blood Brothers, from his Hypnopompic collection launched August last year.

The showcase is curated by respected architect and luminary Bebe Finessi, and also features works by Alessandro Mendini, Marti GuixĂ©, Bruno Munari & Ettore Sottsass, Scholten & Baijings, and others.
